The Eaton County Board of Commissions conducts most of its work in meetings of its various committees. There are five main “standing committees” utilized by the Eaton County Board of Commissioners: The Ways and Means Committee, the Information Technology and Communications Committee, the Health and Human Services Committee, the Public Works and Planning Committee, and the Public Safety Committee. The minutes and agendas for the various committees are posted online. I am presently assigned to work on matters before the Information Technology and Communications Committee, the Health and Human Services Committee, and the Public Safety Committee.
In addition to the standing committees, there are numerous other subcommittees, task
forces, and interagency committees on which Commissioners interact in the conduct
of their business for Eaton County Commission. County Commissioners represent the
interests of Eaton County on numerous regional committees and collaborative organizations.
